Mt. Zion Baptist Church is a Christ-centered church family that believes in loving God and loving people.

In a way, we are an “old-fashioned” Southern Baptist church that sings from the Baptist Hymnal on Sunday morning and the “Heavenly Highways” song book on Sunday night. We are known in our local community for our friendliness and our prayer.

On the other hand, we are a forward looking church that wants to make a difference in a changing world. Everyone is welcome at our church, no matter who you are or what has happened in your past. We love people of all ages, races, and stations in life. We are a place where hearts are healed by the
grace of Christ and the power of the Gospel.

Here are some other things we believe…

•God is real, powerful, and active in the world today.
•The Bible is true and is God’s message for all people.
•Jesus is the way the truth and the life.
•Human beings are sinful and in need of a Savior.
•True believers in Christ are simply sinners, saved by grace.
•We can know God through studying His word. •We can have a personal relationship with Christ through the  fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
• Baptism is by immersion and is only for those who have publically professed a faith in Jesus  Christ.

to their attention by
church members, to work
on future plans and
calendar issues, and to
pray for Mt. Zion Baptist
Church. Feel free to
contact any member of
the council if you have
something that needs to
be addressed.
Mt. Zion’s Church
Council was established in
our Constitution and
By-laws. Under the
direction of Bro. Ray, the
council began meeting last
year.
